The Modigliani Quartet Tours North America in April
"Modigliani musicians show they’re a fab foursome”
- Seattle Times
One of the world’s top string quartets, Modigliani Quartet will tour North America in April 2015, performing in Houston, New York City, Montreal and Dallas, among other cities. The Quartet, which celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2013, has recorded for the Mirare label since 2008 and has released 5 award-winning CDs, all receiving great acclaim in several countries.
The Modigliani's most recent release is Haydn's String Quartets Opp.50, 76 & 77 in 2014, of which Gramophone Magazine wrote, "The Modiglianis inject a lovely lilt to the all-too-brief Minuet of Op 76 No 1 and, in Op 77 No 1, to the Minuet and the lopsided figures of the finale – played with gratifying sweetness."
The April North American tour will include music from the Quartet's 2013 recording of Debussy. Ravel. String Quartets, which was a Critic's Choice in American Record Guide.

"A poised account by Quatuor Modigliani... The players are really inside Debussy's expression and colors and play with technical brilliance, unanimity and much expression."
- International Record Review
"the Modigliani performances are very fine ones, with playing that is technically faultless, fluid, flexible, tonally sumptuous, subtly expressive, or brilliantly impassioned as needed"
"Radiantly engineered and tonally beguiling, these are performances that generate pleasure simply because of the sound they make … a considerable achievement"
