Rachel Podger Celebrates Gramophone Award Win with US Concerts and a New Release
Channel Classics artist Rachel Podger is the recipient of this year's Gramophone Award for Baroque Instrumental for her recording of Biber's Rosary Sonatas. The incomparable violinist, who Gramophone called "a glorious example of someone who lives life through her violin," reveals all the mysteries and glories of these amazing works.
Podger follows that up with her latest release, leading her own ensemble, Brecon Baroque, in Bach's monumental Art of Fugue and Classics Today raves these are "first-class performances."
Podger has been recording and performing Bach's music for violin to critical acclaim for over two decades. In 2015 she became the tenth (and first female) recipient of the Royal Academy of Music Bach Prize.
